    hey ray –
how’s it going? i came up from DC last november to meet you and we looked at the space on lafayette with some of your friends. i was wondering if anything ever happened from that. i closed the store in june because dc pretty much has no style to speak of, and moved up to the east village. loving it up here. i was wondering if you want to meet up for a drink or something in the next week or so. been following your blog for a little bit – looks like you know the places to check out! hit me up and let’s grab a drink.

    Ray,
I moved to San Francisco a few years ago and while subletting an apartment I ended up living with two guys in their 30’s who happened to work for the FBI. One night I came in a little drunk and asked them why? Why the FBI? After a few jokes one of them handed me your book. I read it, and then next time I saw him he said that it influenced him to do something, whatever he could to help. Interestingly he felt that he could do some good.
Fast forward a few years, I make films and would like to know if you have considered making a movie from your book?
Let me know if you would like to talk about it.

    Hi Ray,

    A) you don’t know me; and B) this website is clearly defunt; but I read an article about an NYC endeavor you are undertaking. Harrison’s style roast beef in NYC? BE. STILL. MY. HEART.

I grew up in the Merrimack Valley, went to Central Catholic and lived in N. Andover until I found my way to New York last year. Harrison’s is an institution [will there be pizza rolls at the Bowery?…I kid…I think], and I would love – LOVE – to work for you and Mike. I tried to find legit sites for both of you, but was unsuccessful.

If you need a kick-ass waitstaff/ counter person/ back room broad who can bust out a mean MV accent at will, I want in on this operation.

Will work for roast beef, size medium, cheese & extra sauce.

I hope to hear from you.
